Valserrano Mazuelo 2.001
This variety is grown in a Designation of 2,000 ha. It is originally from France where it is known as Carignan Noir. The variety requires good climatologic conditions in order to ripen properly, and it is highly susceptible to powdery mildew. Nevertheless, by limiting production and engaging in a late harvest, musts of a good colour and acidity level and fresh aromas are achieved, which are ideal for mixing into Crianzas with the Tempranillo variety. |
